Former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina has come out in favour of Hardik Pandya; declaring Hardik Pandya next whiteball captain formats for India. The endorsement came in a post to Raina’s official Instagram account, @sureshraina3, praising Pandya’s temperament and leadership
“Hardik Pandya has all of the right attitudes to become the next white-ball captain for India.” Raina explained in the Instagram post, saying in addition that Pandya was a natural leader because of the way he can remain calm under pressure.
The all-rounder has already captained India in T20 internationals on the occasions, and enjoying some publicity recently for his aggressive playing style and calmness when it comes to decision making. Pandya has also earned some rights to the captaincy role with his leadership experience in the IPL with the Gujarat Titans.

Raina’s support comes at a time when discussions around the future captaincy for India are increasing as ICC white-ball tournaments approach. Although the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has not publicly reported anything at this time, selectors are said to be monitoring Pandya’s performances closely.
